Honey Butter Almond Recipe

For the almonds

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1.5 cups roasted almonds
  • 3 tbsp powdered white sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon, (Optional)

For the coating

  • 1 tbsp powdered white sugar


  • In a medium skillet pan, add the butter 
  • When the butter is completely melted, mix in the honey and powdered sugar
  • Heat the butter mixture to boiling while stirring occasionally
  • Cook the mixture in a medium skillet over low to medium heat
  • Add half a teaspoon of cinnamon if you want
  • Add in the roasted almonds and cook on low heat, mixing with a spatula till all the almonds are properly covered in the mixture, about 2 minutes
  • After the almonds are properly cooked in the butter mixture, remove and transfer them on a wax paper or baking sheet lined on a plastic tray to cool 
  • Spread in a single layer
  • Leave for 30 minutes till the almonds have cooled down 
  • At this point, they will be sticking together
  • Transfer the almonds to a plastic ziplock bag and use a wooden spatula to crack them loose from each other
  • Lastly, put some powdered sugar into the bag and shake it to evenly coat the almonds with sugar
  • Serve with your choice warm beverage and enjoy!

Tips for the recipe

  • To roast the almonds, spread in an non-greased baking pan and place in an oven at 350° F. Bake for 10 minutes or until the almonds turn golden brown and fragrant. They will continue to roast later in the pan. 
  • The honey butter almonds can easily be stored in an airtight container or zip lock bag for up to 3 months
  • If you bake the almonds in advance, you will get a more crispy outer texture
  • Use good quality butter and honey to enhance the taste and texture of the honey butter almonds
