Now there aren’t a lot of cakes you can make as a healthy dessert and still have it taste good somehow. Zucchini cakes and all that? No. I mean you can’t just make a cake with vegetables and call it the same thing, that’s not okay. So instead of substituting unhealthy ingredients, just make a cake with healthy ingredients, like the IKEA Almond cake recipe.

Now wasn’t that simple! Healthy eating or not, who doesn’t love cake? I know I do. One of the things I miss the most on my clean-eating journey has ought to be cake. Be it a joy cake or a dacquoise cake, I love them all.  I mean what’s better than cutting a slice of cake for yourself as a personal reward at the end of the day? Yep, you guessed it. Nothing.

Almond flour and almond milk are some of my go-to ingredients when making a healthy dessert (or non-desserts! I even made mac and cheese with it!). So when I tried the almondy cake at IKEA, a recreation just had to happen. Layers of almond sponge cake, sweet cream, and almond flakes, this cake is meant to be your next favorite.
