Paula Deen Creamed Spinach Recipe
Ingredients Â
- 2 tbsp Butter.
- 1 tbsp Olive oil.
- 1 Onion. Medium-sized, Chopped
- 1 Garlic clove. Minced
- 2 bunch Spinach. Steamed, Chopped
- Salt.
- Black Pepper.
- ½ tsp Nutmeg.
- ¼ cup Heavy Cream.
InstructionsÂ
- Take out a medium frying pan or a non-stick pot.
- Add in the butter and wait for it to melt completely.
- Once the butter has melted, add in the olive oil and mix.
- Now add in your chopped onion and cook them until translucent.
- Add in the minced garlic and mix them.
- Cook for about a minute.
- Once done, add in your boiled, chopped spinach and cook until the spinach softens, warms up, and reduces in size.
- At this time, add in your spices. Nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Now add in your heavy cream. Cook until the liquid reduces and the cream starts to thicken up.
- Cook for about 3-4minutes to get the thick consistency.
